The journal is entitled as “South Asian Journal of Marketing (SAJM)”. The first Issue will be published by Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing and from 2021 onwards the journal will be published in collaboration with Emerald Publishing.
Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) is the apex body for Sri Lankan Marketers founded in 1970 has been working to uplift the marketing study in Sri Lanka. SLIM also conducting many national level events and projects.
It has started many certification courses, diploma courses and Post graduate courses in Marketing, Sales and Management.
About the South Asian Journal of Marketing (SAJM)
South Asian Journal of Marketing (SAJM) is a peer-reviewed open access journal published bi-annual(July and December) scholarly outlet for publications on Marketing in South Asia.
The journal launched in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the institute in collaboration with Emerald Publishing in 2020. SAJM is an eclectic international forum for insights, innovations and advances in marketing management and study designs using qualitative, quantitative or mixed methods research.
Dr. Dewasiri, N. J is the Editor-in Chief of the journal leading the Editorial board along with 3 other editors as follows

- Dr. Sudhir Rana, Fortune Institute of International Business, New Delhi, India
- Dr. K.P. Lalith Chandralal, Department of Marketing Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka
According to the official website of the Journal the Journal will not charge any APC from the authors.
Commenting on the launch of SAJM, SLIM President Roshan Fernando stated,
“We are elated to launch SAJM in commemoration of SLIM’s golden jubilee. As a part of the Restart Sri Lanka National initiative, SLIM aims to build and boost a knowledge driven economy through new innovation, entrepreneurships and new learning on Marketing Management.”
How to submit papers for the journal?
As it’s a Bi-annual journal, so two publication issues will come out in a year. According to the journal’s website, the issues will be published during the month of July and December of every year.
Each article accepted by peer review is made freely available online immediately upon publication.
Publication costs of the journal are covered by the institution for each manuscript upon acceptance. There is no charge for submitting a paper to the journal.
The Journal will be accepting the following Article Types:
- Regular Articles
- Systematic Literature Reviews
- Book reviews
The Articles should be between 5,000 and 7,500 words excluding references and abstract.
