During my seminars and keynote speakers at different conferences, many students and scholars asked me How to publish a paper in international journal. So I thought I will share you all the details regarding this topic in today’s article. So let’s start the topic.

Many of you may have published your research papers in different Journals that may be National or International. If you have already done this then you could continue reading this article till the end to discover more and the right way to publish the paper.

What is a research journal?

A research journal is a periodical publication in which scholarship relating to a particular academic discipline is published. Academic journals serve as permanent and transparent forums for the presentation, scrutiny, and discussion of research. International journals are the best place to showcase your research finding and ideas to the world. Thousands of Journals are there who publishes good papers in their journals and their journal impact factor is also high.

Prepare and write your research paper.

Before writing any research paper you must collect all the information about the topic and your research work. Make some point of your findings and note it down. Choose one journal and check the sample paper and “Instruction to Authors” or “Author’s Guide”. Prepare your manuscript according to that format. Every journal article  follows a specific organizational format, such as Abstract; Introduction; Methods; Results; Discussion; Conclusion; Acknowledgements/References. Future scope and limitation can also be included in your paper.

Submit your manuscript.




All journal has a specific method of submission of paper either online submission or through email or by hardcopy submission. But as per my experience, most of the journals are now accepting only on online and email submissions. If you are asked to submit your paper online then you may need to fill some other information as well like Name, Affiliation, Contact number, email ID, Institutions name, Degree completed or perusing, Years of experience etc. Make sure you have given correct information of yours. Make use of your organizational email ID along with personal email ID.




Wait for the Notification and don’t be Panic

I have seen most of the authors got panic after submitting the paper and continuously asking for the notification and review report. But here I suggest you that do not be panic because the Editor may receive several papers for the journal so it takes some time.

The initial information you could receive like any of the following statuses

  1. Accepted: It means your paper has been accepted
  2. Accepted with Modification: It requires some modification and then it will be accepted.
  3. Revise and resubmit: It means your paper needed much modification so you can modify according to the reviewer’s comment.
  4. Rejected: It means the paper is not suitable for the journal but it does not mean that the paper is not suitable for other journals.

So take the action accordingly and get your paper published.
