Scopus title list

The Scopus Journals title list contains over 39,743 titles in total, including over 25,000 active titles and over 14,558 inactive titles (mostly predecessors of the active titles). The Scopus Books title list contains more than 210,000 books.

The best way to check Scopus indexed journals

Step-1: Visit  https://www.scopus.com/

Step-2:  Click on View journal rankings 

Step-3: On the top bar Choose the option “ISSN” and Enter ISSN of the journal for which you want to check the journal indexed.

You can also choose the other option like Search by

  • Subject area
  • Title
  • Publisher

But our recommendation will be search by ISSN for better result because ISSN is the unique for all journals. You may search by entering eISSN or pISSN.

If you do not find the journal after entering the ISSN then the journal is not indexed.

After finding the Journal by entering the ISSN go the journal’s Page in Scopus and check the “Scopus coverage years”. Check the coverage till “Present” or not. If it’s not then it is removed from the coverage.

If your paper published in a journal that was under the coverage till the year as it published then it is considered to be Scopus indexed.

Check Scopus content coverage

Check the “Scopus Content coverage” tab present below the journal details. Check the citation coverage till the current year or not.

Things you must check while Checking Scopus Index Journals

  • Check the Journal’s home page, contact details, publication policy, Author’s guidelines, past publication papers, Paper format, Publication charges or APC etc.
  • Check the social media platform and reviews from different networking platforms like research gate, LinkedIn etc.
  • SJR, CiteScore, SNIP, CiteScore rank & trend also plays an important role in any journal indexed in Scopus.
  • Check the other indexing and Impact factor of the Journal.

Journal that is not considered to be Scopus Indexed Journals

  • Those journals are not covered by Scopus.
  • Journal those were indexed in Scopus in the past but currently discontinued. (In such case the journal will be considered as Scopus Indexed till the coverage years)
